LA – Designing different looks (week 19)

This weeks week dived deeper into the world of web design. We watched the Lynda.com video about the Dreamweaver and making the websites. For the activity we had to copy the exact content from a homepage of a website of our choice and redesign the homepage in three different ways. Each design should evoke a different emotional response from viewers. You can choose what you would like these emotional responses to be.

I decided to pick a website of a bakery as I could at the same time check different bakery sites for our Mandatory assignments. I tried a bit how the content can be placed to the website while creating different feelings. The original site had already a strong feeling and identity in it.

Here’s the original:

Here’s the ones I created:

Elegant weddings and adult parties:
The first one is elegant and trying to create a feeling of pure, clear and simple site. Target group could be 40-50 years. A party coming – need a fancy cake!!

For family occations and daily life:
The second one is more hands-on, more colour and the feeling is more warm, (family) friendly. Target group more families and grandparents. Home baked cakes!!

For teenagers cup-cake parties:
The thirth one is colourfull and the target group would be more to teenagers.  It has a strong colours but it’s clean and simple in order of the content. Let’s have a cupcake party!!
