LA – Web Design: Coding Basics (week 24)

This week has been all about learning the back-end design of the website: coding with HTML and CSS (a bit basics with JavaScript). I have learned a lot. I used to think too much about good looking layouts on the paper. It’s not that simple for the web. You’re able to do much but it needs time to learn all the code that is needed.

For this learning activity, I love to challenge myself but I could have done a bit more simple structure. There’s a lot different colour headings, different columns, floating blocks etc. But as it was said in the instructions, I didn’t stress about it too much. Some of the elements in the page are not made to the end (meaning I made the first link but not all of them but I know how to do it 😉 and I know it.

Learning activity:

Take the basic website you have designed in your previous two Learning Activities in this module (Learning Activity – Put Thought Into Your Design and Learning Activity – Planning the Structure) and convert that into HTML and CSS code.

I made the first two pages (Index.html and come.html) with a separate css sheet.
